The importance of the happiness in the school

This is part of the chapter 2 of The leadership of learning communities in a communities in a culture of unhappiness, and I want to put there to reflect. We safely had any teacher in our scholar's life that always we had thought that he/she didn't like to be teacher or don't like to give lessons, also we can see how schools keep their functions only to make students with high scores.
I think it's one of the main problems in the student's life. It is important that people in general, not just teachers, they like your work, because this is where students can see the big difference between a teacher who loves their job and do it in a motivating way and others who don't like it and you can see when they give lessons.

The slave labor

The driving assumptions of school reform are grounded in a punishing rather than a positive psychology, a view fixated on weaknesses and deficits rather than on learning and growing. The result, as Bottery (2003) argues, may be the creation of a “culture of unhappiness” in schools, where, in the attempt to create “error-free, risk-less organisations where trust is unnecessary because everything is so controlled and micro-managed” (p. 196).

I want to share this video because children today have a lot of homework to do at home, which makes them have less time to "be kids" and spend time on their entertainment and games. In the center where I made my practices, I have seen as children performed the tasks during school hours, carrying as much a tab to make at home. When I was little I remember most exercises gave us time to perform in class and if we brought something, there were few things that did not require more than an hour.

"España es uno de los países de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE) en donde más deberes ponen. Los alumnos hacen 6,5 horas de ejercicios a la semana, frente a 4,9 en los demás países. El problema es que todo este trabajo extra no les rinde a los estudiantes." (R. Sanmartín, 2015)

Sometimes we do not realize this, but it can become abusive the number of hours children spend at school, both weekday, weekend or holiday.
This is why I would like to invite you to reflect on this issue because this can be very harmful to us students. It is so important in the actuality and in the school's ambit. Nobody think in the importance that homeworks have and the hours that children spend to do it. In my experience of the Prácticum I have been able to see the importance of this.

Emotional Education

Inside out

This is a movie called "Inside out", and I recommend and I would like to work in class with students because I think we can take a lot from it and teach children the importance of education in values.

In this film we see how a person is composed of many emotions shown at different times. It is important that our students understand and be taught the importance of education to cope with emotional problems and stress or complications, explore, express their emotions and feelings ... etc.

I think the emotional education is slowly growing in schools and is very positive for the future of the students factor, as they learn to understand and control their own emotions to cope to the adversities that arise in their lives.
